Explore Winter Styles That Are Adventurous. & Affordable. All Day, Every Day

Even though many of us wanted to hold on to the warm days of summer, those days are gone, at least for now. We are left with barren trees, crisp mornings, and chilly temps blanket us instead of the sunshine and flip flops we are already missing. It’s time we get our winter wardrobe up to date!  I’m making it easy for you with my “explore winter styles” guide from Sierra Trading Post.  I know it can be expensive to update your wardrobe each year with new trends, but that’s where I am here to help.  Luckily, I found Sierra Trading Post and they have my favorite brands priced right. I picked a few of my favorite winter styles to share that I can’t live without!

Let’s break this “explore winter styles” guide down, piece by piece…shall we?

Layering With Color

When I shop, I purposely look for items that are extremely versatile. I want to be able to wear the same thing paired with workout gear to the gym or cute leggings out with my hubby.  Vests are one of my favorites because I love to add a pop of color. It’s NO secret, I like black and I especially like black on the bottom (hey, what girl doesn’t?!?) but I don’t want to be morbid so I always like color somewhere. This vest would be perfect because it can take a plain tshirt and leggings to chic in no time!

Warm Leggings

Ok, so I know I JUST said I love black leggings but there are some times that they just aren’t working for me. Like during the winter when I want to wear a cute tunic with riding boots. Those are the times I need leggings that look warm, cozy, and trendy -but not black. The key for me is to find leggings that are patterned but in a warm kind of way. Make sense? The colors of these leggings remind me of fall….and pumpkin spice (which I love. Yes, I’m basic. What’s your point?). Burnt orange, olive, cream, navy – the colors in these leggings are perfect for winter.

Doable Trends

I like trends that are doable. Some trends just aren’t my thing (have you SEEN the bubble nails on Instagram? Yeah, that’s not gonna happen for me). This color is everywhere this season and it is sought after by all my fashionista friends. I’ve even heard this color labeled the “unicorn” of leggings! Guess what? I found the unicorn 😉 The great thing about this trendy color is it matches many colors! I would wear these leggings with ivory, beige, gray, black, and mustard colored tunics. So if you like trends but don’t want bubble nails, here ya go. These are doable.

Boots That Work

I love boots. I’m definitely a boot collector (is that even possible?!?). I have all colors from red, black, dark brown, light brown, cognac, zebra (no I’m not kidding), fuzzy, white, gray, off white, and every color in between. Seriously – boots are my jam. However, I am also short, like 5 foot tall, so anytime I can find a boot with a wedge? Yes, I’m in. Bag it up and send that box home with me. I chose this pair for my “explore winter styles” guide because of the wedge heel! Plus being black, you can’t go wrong. Black really does go with everything – except I’m not a fan of black and navy blue. Also, if you live where it snows a lot (which isn’t where I am in TN) you would love that these are waterproof!

Wrap Me Up

I love winter accessories, but not hats because well…my hair. I don’t wear gloves because well….texting 😉 So that leaves me with one option: scarves!! I love them all. Plaid, plain, chevron, whatever! Scarves dress up even the plainest of outfits. I realize they are to serve a purpose of keeping my neck warm but that has ZERO to do with me loving them. They are trendy and make me feel like I am put together when I wear them. If you see me out in the winter, I can bet ya, I will have a scarf on.   So as you can imagine of course a scarf is going to wrap up (pun intended) my “explore winter styles” guide from Sierra Trading Post.
