I have been reading everywhere that many weight loss companies are using (aka stealing) weight loss transformation photos from individuals to sell their product. That is complete BS in my book!! So I thought I would share with you some real life weight loss transformations. How do I know these are real? Well, all of these girls are my friends and TDF Ambassadors!
Enjoy these real women, real life, real talk, REAL stories 🙂 xoxo, Crystal
I pretty much did every trick in the book when it came to trying to lose weight the “easy” way. Truth is: it never worked. I wish I could tell you that I had some sort of excuse like kids, traveling, or a hectic job that made me ignore my health. I didn’t, it was just my own unwillingness to make my health a priority. I constantly sabotaged my own efforts to do anything about it. I got into a CrossFit program which I loved, but then I used that as an excuse to overeat and not pay attention to my eating habits. Then, when changes weren’t happening I became discouraged and quit it all. I was convinced that maybe my body wasn’t designed to be fit and lean.I wanted that magic pill so badly. It took a long time to realize what the “magic pill” really was: combining sensible eating habits with the exercise. On January 1, 2013, I truly started my fitness journey once and for all. I was determined that I would feel better about myself and stop hating every outfit that I thought made me look “fat.” I was not going to let this be another failed resolution. I tracked everything that I ate in a food diary, and began working out 4 times a week. I gradually worked up to Jillian Michaels’ 90-Day Body Revolution and from there I was hooked on the results I was getting from the cardio and strength combination. It wasn’t quick, it wasn’t easy, but I pushed onward. I knew half-way to my goal that I was never going back. I knew I wanted to help others who struggle with their own journeys. I wanted to get stronger, and show people that YES you can do this. My results didn’t come quickly, but I conquered each tenth of a pound little by little, and trimmed off inch by inch. Do I have days where I still struggle? Absolutely. Do I quit everything when I have a bad day or even a bad week? Never. I keep working, I get back on track, and do what works: eating right and staying active. I’m proud to say that fitness has truly become my passion – a passion I had been searching for all my life.”~ Stacey
TODAY…I am happy. I get to wake up feeling great everyday. I get to ENJOY life with my family. I look forward to finishing my workout and putting on REAL clothes because everything fits! Now, I want to offer you the motivation to do the same.” ~ Stacey
It’s not easy and it takes a lot of work.
I am doing things that I never thought were possible and I am teaching my children the importance of eating healthy and exercising.
If I can do it anyone can!!” ~ Rebecca
“My weight loss story… In high school I was skinny/fit – whatever you want to call it. I could eat and not worry. I was on the dance team. I played sports. No big deal. Just like so many of us I go into the real world and stop with the activities and I ballooned. Add on to that a pregnancy that I didn’t know about till I was 4 months into (I was pregnant and had a miscarriage then never started my period again – hello I got pregnant! Lol). I put on 65+ pounds while pregnant. About the time my son was 4, that would have put me 25, I was at/over 200 pounds, I honestly don’t remember what my highest weight was, I blocked it out. I got tired of being fat and tired. So I started eating a bit better, counting calories (1200 – too low!!!) and working out. I started loving bootcamp workouts. I still hated to run – I have bone spurs in my knee that has caused arthritis. So I lost 50 pounds on my own.
Then I got married in 2011 and adjusting to being married, making sure I’m giving everyone enough of my time and keeping the house running – my activity level took a back seat. So I started training for a half marathon where I proceeded to tear the arch in my foot. So I took up road cycling with my husband – it’s really fun and challenging though scary when traffic is around!! 2013 summer I have got certified by NESTA for personal training and I help teach ladies only boot camps.
This year I have put myself to a new challenge to lose another 20. I love lifting weights on my days at the gym. I purchased the Iron Bombshell program and love it. I have to have a tooth pulled next week so the end of March I will be taking “before” pictures and then going to town hard and heavy with Iron Bombshell!! I have a family vacation in June at the beach and I want to rock a bikini like I know I can!!!” ~ Jessica
