Are you on the hunt for homemade granola bars? If so, then these Vegan & Gluten Free Homemade Granola Bars are next on your list!! Not vegan or gluten free? It’s ok! You can dabble in that realm with this recipe without jumping in head first to unfamiliar waters. Plus, we don’t tell if you dont 😉
My friend at BitesnFare has the most amazing recipes! I love that she features not only great tasting healthy foods, but foods that are visually appealing. You know you’ve seen it..the healthy food that looks like pig slop? Yeah, I’ve not only made those foods but GASP…..
I’ve taken photos and posted those online because while it may look gross, it tastes great 😉 Let’s be honest though, we typically decide on recipes by what they look like and we won’t make a recipe that isn’t visually appealing. Agree?
This is why I love Sam. She does what I can’t: make food look good.
- 1/4 c Gluten Free oats
- 1/8 c each nuts
- 1/8 c chocolate chips
- 1/8 c seeds
- 1/8 c flax
- 1/8 c cranberries
- 1/8 c peanut flour (or SUB vegan protein)
Mix all items together except chocolate chips.
1. Heat 2 T coconut oil with 2T agave (can sub honey for a non vegan recipe)
2. Pour over Granola mix and stir.
3. Cool slightly. Add chips, toss.
4. Place in a wax lined pan, press and refrigerate until chilled
TIP: Chips will melt if added to quickly
Enjoy and be sure to follow Sam on Instagram, let her know you found her through TDF! She posts recipes weekly that you will not only love but may make you lick the computer screen 😉
